About Lion House
Lion House operates two transitional housing facilities, one in Kansas and one in Missouri, and is in the beginning stages of constructing the Lion House Cottages to expand our offerings. Lion House provides housing alongside supportive services, all catered to the unique experiences and needs of the LGBTQ+ community, including culturally tailored case management, affirming in-house mental health services, basic needs provision, weekly life skills workshops, vetted third party referrals, community building, and employment and volunteer opportunities.

Our housing program offers a hand-up approach to serving LGBTQ+ individuals to move from unstable housing, unhoused or street homelessness to maintaining their own stable and sustainable housing.
Transitional Housing
Transitional housing is a short term housing program that is designed to best support specific segments of the homeless population, including working homeless people who are earning too little money to afford long-term housing. Transitional housing is set up to transition residents into permanent, affordable housing over the course of a 12 month period of time.
Rapid Re-housing
Rapid Re-housing is designed to serve those who could reasonably be approved for a lease, but are financially unable to afford the cost of living; Rapid Re-housing programs assist with those expenses.
